I have an old 200hp Johnson. The compression on each cylinder is about 100psi. Is this good or just ok or poor? What is compression on a new engine?

Actually that is not bad at all.A new one has about 130 PSI, seen ones with 80-90's run fine. The main thing is that the compression is within 10% of each other. Install a new water pump, thermostats, ifa 80's or90's model, replace the fuel pump & the oil tank pump.Or change to a premix. Do that & it will run for many more hours.
