on board battery chargers

where's the best place to get a 2 bank onboard batter charger?not the cheapest but the best,need something to keep two 12 volts charged that's reliable and won't shit out on me after two years,anything helps thanks in advance

I agree....

Onboard battery chargers are a crap shoot... I've had some Guest units that were bad out of the box....Overcharged on one circuit and cooked the battery....The replacement was the same way.... The 3rd was finally OK.

Had some other name brands that went bad also.


But If I was buying today... It would be a Noco Genius.

I have two 25 year old Guest units that still work with excellent charging profiles.
Knock on wood.

But I consistently hear of issues with the newer models.

It appears they are all a crapshoot to some degree these days other than Dual Pro, a hugely popular bass boat model which is also repairable, but as such, it is questionable for saltwater use since it is not completely sealed.

I'm sure there are several good ones out there, but Noco is an affordable sealed unit that appears to be more reliable than most, including Minn Kota, and that is what I would go with.
