I can't say anything else about the offshore fishing except—IT”S ON. The Tuna bite has gone absolutely crazy over the past few days. The Yellow fin and Black Fin were literally sitting next to the boat waiting to be hand-fed. All of the Tuna fish were caught on chum and the Wahoo came off of diving lures. The Yellow fin ranged in size from 50lbers. up to 130lbers., and the blacks are their usual 15-20lbers. The black fin themselves are usually more than most anglers can handle, so with a good mix of Yellow fin and Black fin everybody was worn out. For those that were fortunate enough to get out and fish with us this past weekend it was as good as it gets when it comes to the fishing and weather out of Venice. The wahoo bite is also very good right now. We still haven't hit our best wahoo bite yet, but it should be coming. Avg. right now is about 2-4 wahoo per day in the 40-60lb. range but that is splitting it with the Tuna fishing. So, on Saturday and Sunday the boats filled the boxes with Tuna and Wahoo and left them biting. It should remain this way at least thru March, some days better than others of course, fishing our winter-time spots. There have also been a few other species mixed in as well such as Amberjack, Sharks, and Mackerel keeping everyone in the boat busy. The fishing is as good as it gets right now so it is the right time to get down here and fish. We still have open days to fish in February and March, as well as Lodging.
