Had a nice day on the water yesterday with my dad and some friends. Launched at 9 and had a nice limit by 11. The snapper seemed to be hungry everywhere we went. We were on a tight time schedule so we had to make the trip short. The wind was blowing a little harder than forecasted and the seas were more than a light chop but it was a good ride out and back in. Looked like the Air Force had some training going on. Anyone know what they were doing? Hope the weather stays nice for the weekend.

The boat is an older 23 Formula my buddy restored. Late 70s era I think. Originally had twin Mercruiser I/Os and he hung a bracket with a 4 stroke 225. The boat is heavy and really rides good. It's also very dry unless you have a strong wind blowing the spray back. It cruises well at 23 knots and gets about 2 miles per gallon which is easy on the wallet. The fish weren't as big as they look, probably 4-7 pounds but still a good mess for a quick trip. We'll be back out Saturday I hope.
