Just bought my first "post colllege" toy and was wondering if anyone has any pros or cons. It a 2003 chevy 1500HD with 90,000 miles. As expected, gas charges so far have not been terrific, but any other insights would be great.

My brother has that truck in the quad cab. He is very happy with it except for the gas milage, he live in Houston and gets about 15MPG with his lead foot. They don't make the HD in 1500 anymore. Now the same thing is the 2500. So what you have is a 3/4 ton. As far as I know there are no major issues, I have the 1500 '04 extended cab keep the airfilter clean it does effect gas mileage. A good solid truck for sure.
