Hey there, this is my brothers and my first year hear in Pensacola. We're from Tampa and knew where to go for fishing and hunting down there but are completely lost up here. We are both studying at UWF and are greatly looking forward to this upcoming hunting season but just need someone to point us in the right direction and maybe give a few tips. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

If your at UWF then You've got good hunting and fishing right out your back door in Escambia river. Specks, flounder, Reds etc. down toward the 90 bridge and bass, bream catfish etc. further up river. Ducks, deer, hogs, small game are available up and down the river if you willing to put in some scouting time. It's easier if you have access to a boat but with a little more effort you can find places that are accessible by foot for fishing and hunting. Google earth is a good tool to use and hang around the forum and ask questions, lots of good folks here willing to point you in the right direction.

Thanks for the help and warm welcome. Ya I figured everything is a lot better when you've got a boat, unfortunately all of mine are in Tampa until I can find a place to keep one up here. We just made sure our guns were sighted in at quintette shooting range and I'm dying to get out and catch something more exciting than the bream in our apartment complex's retention ponds... As for now I'm looking for good places to fish from shore salt and fresh as well as somewhere to hunt that we can get to by car. I dont mind scouting or long stalk hunts, just looking to get out there. I love spearfishing too. Thanks for the help, looks like I came to the right place.
