I'm selling one of my original Penn SS 6500 spin fisher reels. MADE IN THE USA! This reel is in NEW condition but I do not have the original box for it as I am the second owner. To my knowledge this reel has never seen salt water. Its 100% rust free and corrosion free. The reel literally looks brand new, and to my knowledge it is. I bought several of these reels from a guy at work who was selling them for his father in law. They were matched with 10' Ugly Sticks which were also brand new. (I have one ugly stick left for sale for $50) This is the only reel I am selling, as I have multiple of the same size already in my arsenal. There is 40 lb mono spooled on this reel, and it is "green" in color. The mono is "new", but its been on the spool for a long time. (Stored in climate controlled environment though)
The price for this reel is firm at $100 cash. I don't want to deal with pay pal fees, so I'm offering this locally before I list it online for a higher price. I live in the Santa Rosa Beach area, and am flexible to meet somewhere in the vicinity. Do some research on these reels... They are hard to come by in this shape. MADE IN USA.... Not the new cheaper pieces that are made over seas. They don't make them like this anymore. For those of you who know about these reels, you know it won't last long at this price. Thanks for looking and have a blessed day!

I wonder Why they started putting that cheap looking handle on them .... If it was the oval knob gold handle, you would have a sale.....

Sent through Tapatalk, even though they ruined it with "upgrades"...

Ya I don't care for the handle either, and would most certainly replace if I purchased.
I know you said that you are firm on 100$
But if u come down to 80 I'll meet u tomorrow.
If not I understand... I'm certainly not trying to be I insulting or waste your time. Simply stating what I can offer u at this time.

Josh, thanks for the offer but I'm going to pass. I'm going to hold out for my asking price. If I don't get it here, then I will sell it on eBay. They are listed on there in rough shape for $80. It nevere hurts to ask, so thanks for the offer
Very nice reel. Can you check to see if the crosswind gear is also bronze and not aluminum. That makes a big difference.

Yes, the crosswind gear is bronze. Everything came apart with ease, and I am pretty sure it had never been opened before. There was no sign of previous removal on any of the screws. The grease inside looks brand new, and there isn't a hint of saltwater anywhere. I'm beginning to question why I am selling such a relic lol! I actually have several .... Only one as nice as this one though, and its a 7500 on my new cobia rod

I think it's worth over $100 easy. It has never been touched inside.
I'm open to OBO. I believe that is still acceptable on the forum rules for selling.
This reel is SOLD!
