Coming in for a trip the week of thanksgiving. What should I expect for fishing in the sound? Thinking I’ll bring my boat with me. Also, how is the pier that time of year? I’ve only been to Navarre in summertime in the past. Thanks for any advice you guys can provide.

There are still some fish around the grass flats on the north side unless it's really cold. A boat would definitely help cover more ground.

Will I have a chance at finding any active Jack Crevalle in the Sound that time of year? Curious how the fish in that area move around in cooler weather given their inability to easily get out in the gulf in that stretch of the coast. I’m just going to be after some fun fishing, not too worried about table fare. If I can find something good to eat that’s great, but something strong to pull my line is fine too!

Should be some jacks around, as well as flounder, specks, reds. Trust me, it ain't going to be that cold here on thanksgiving.
