Well, my buddy and I were supposed to go to Styx River Range to shoot today...and we did go, but got a late start as he had to take his dog to the vet, etc. So anyhoo, we got over there about 1:30 and since this was the first nice weekend in quite a while - well, as you probably can imagine, the place was packed out - all but the 200yrd lanes. And since I just put the Meopta on my 7mm mag, I needed to get on the 50, then the 100 and so on. I did take my 6.5 Grendel (M4/A2) as well as both Glocks etc - but like I said, they were so packed we said to heck with it and went to Mike's to hang out and look around...I shoulda known better! LOL I found 3 pistols I want, and left with one. I have been wanting a little "plinker" for some time now and they had a Walther P22 on sale and just could not pass it up!

Also liked the Walther P380, and for those of you looking - they have several Ruger LCP's in stock. Sweet lil guns, but think I will go with the Walther since I have big hands and they are so tiny! But what I am REALLY stoked about is the 1911 I have my eye on there! They have a sweet Kimber I will end up with here before too long. But after having just bought the Meopta 3x12x56 RD for my 7mag, I just couldn't bring myself to buying it today! Of course they were more than willing to sell 'em all to me today! lmao Guess that is what I get for going there to hang out with the guys and 'look around'...:letsdrink I do however plan on going back to pick up a .380 here before too long and then in a couple months - 1911 time baby! Can't wait! :shedevil

I had thought the same thing (I kinda have larger hands) but I got one for the summer months to carry and I'm glad I did!!! with the mag finger extension it feels alot better and shoots good enough for me at closer distances...a GREAT little pocket gun, and my second backup carry gun(one in my coat pocket(millinium pro45)and that one in my pants front pocket.:)

Can't go wrong w/ the P22...I have 1 in OD green and LOVE it!!!! I word of wisdom to a new P22 owner: do not----I repeat DO NOT use the slide safety!!!!!!! If you do, and "accidentaly" try to work the slide....you'll have to send it to S/W for them to un-lock it:banghead I've done it 2 times and will not lock it again!!!:doh:letsdrink:letsdrink:letsdrink

Jason, are ya referring to the "keyed" trigger safety on the slide??? Cuz if so - that puppy will never be used! lolI am so use to my Glock(s), that I actually don't even know how to act totin a gun with a safety on it, and only planned on using the actual "manual safety" right there above the thumb...however, that being said - I thought it would be a neat feature having the other safety for unauthorized use until I read your post! Thanks brutha! :usaflag

I love my p22.Fun to plink with and doesn't eat up the wallet! Only bad thing about it is breaking it down to clean. That spring is a pain in the butt to put back in.

Jason, post a pic of what your talkign about. I've never gotten my locked up and don't want to.

First to 7mm - My apologies for derailing your post. It was not my intent. I though we could get a ?new gun? thread going, but should have posted that as my own and not jumped on yours.<P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=MsoNormal> The Walther is a fun gun, with the availability of the longer barrel and ease of changing the barrel, once you have done it a time or two, makes it a versatile little pistol. I miss the one I sold sometimes, but something had to go from the safe to make room for new toys!<P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=MsoNormal><?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p><P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=MsoNormal>To <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" /><st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Chad</st1:place></st1:country-region>, the text posted on the pic, which has been removed, was a joking comment. I rarely attempt humor on such post due to the ease of misunderstanding, and the comments it draws?like yours. I have found it is often best to question a post?s intent before making judgments, and inflammatory comments such as your?which I initially reacted poorly to hence the edit.<P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=MsoNormal><o:p></o:p><P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=MsoNormal>My last on the subject and again, sorry 7mm?enjoy the new toy.
