Afternoons and mid day not a morning person lol. Honestesly never killed one in the morning untill after 8 am so hard to hit the woods early for me. Plus I get off at 3 pm and can be in the stand by 330 so it just works out better for me. I still go in the mornings before daylight sometimes just haven't had any luck yet.

I am not a morning person at all and it takes everything I have to get my ass out of bed a 3am but I have killed just as many in the morning as I have in the evening. Killed several during the middle of the day. My biggest buck was shot about 10 minutes after first shooting light. My second biggest was shot about 10 minutes after sunset.

I like afternoons for a couple reasons. I would rather get situated in my stand during daylight. I also like to get in to my spot while the deer are not moving as much in the afternoon and be in place for the evening/dusk with less chance of spooking deer on the way in than going in in the early morning while the deer are active and risking spooking them getting to and in my stand. With a optimum access route, this would be largely alleviated though.

Whichever gets me a deer! LoL j/k. In all serious depends on the moon and the feeding when I hunt. Though I do enjoy sitting in a stand and watching the sun set and the moon start to rise. Then have a deer walk out @ 0 dark 30 where I can barely see them and whack 'em. :D

As a shift worker I hunt all that I can. I like afternoon hunts because you almost know exactly how long your going to sit. While hunting morning all I can think about are things I should be doing. I have a hard time getting down because I start thinking of what might come out if I was to sit longer. I've been more successful on the morning hunts. I've also starting sitting mid day or mid morning till dark.

I see most of my deer at around 9-10 am and just a few minutes before dark, but I do like to see the sun rise and watch the woods wake up. It always seems like a few minutes after the sun goes down but its still light, all kinds of animals start moving around. And it happens at the exact same time every evening, I don't know what that's about but I can always count on hearing and seeing a whole bunch of different animals about 10 minutes before its to dark to shoot. I still believe that if you want to shoot a good deer you need to sit in the stand as much as you can because you really never know when they will show up.

I like mornings best but have killed more in the afternoon
I've killed my biggest in late afternoon, but the majority I have taken in the morning. Even if I had never killed one in the morning, I would still get up and go sit in the stand. It's my favorite time, watching the sun come up and listening to the woods waking up.

Some people are wired to get up at the crack of 4am because thats thier lifes clock. Some sleep till the last minute. If u are used to going to bed at 9:00 pm. You'll be up at 4 am. Most that go to sleep after the 10:00 pm news arent so eager to morning hunt. I love afternoon / evening hunts & fishing. I think the animals do too. Especially during full moons. To each thier own.

ive always hunted early morning (5 am to 9 or so) and late evening (3 to dark). last year i was hunting in bay minette and my buddy said to stay in the stand till noon. i did and i saw more deer from 10 to noon than i had ever seen in my life on a stand. now i get there about 6 or so and stay in my stand till 1 then get back in there about 2.30. i enjoy the early morning better though.
