somewhere around grand isle, a kayaker never returned home. They found his truck at the boat ramp and have been searching for him. 5 days later they find the kayak 4 miles off shore upside down with the pfd still in it.

does not look good.

this is a lesson for everybody. Even in calm waters, a dolphin or something could knock you off the kayak and it can float away from you. I would hate to know I died and hurt my family because my life jacket was uncomfortable or I was hot.

Always, always wear your pfd. You never know what can happen and over you go into the drink. A kayak is a small platform to fish from. Safe when used safely. Very sad to hear about this. This kind of thing is not good for kayak fishing. It is still free and unregulated. Use common sense and get off some of the Rambo, I am the best kayak fisherman trip. A couple spills will cure ya on safety.
