Has anyone changed the drums out on their drive? Mine has a lot of side to side play. Just wondering if it is a pain to change.

The cables need to be tightened and that will help. Make sure you do it evenly though. The drums are fine though over time they can wear out. Give me a ring if you need help or If you're in the area just swing by and we can strip the whole drive and reassemble which is good to know anyhow.

And for what it's worth, I've never personally worn out a set of drums. Though I've had to replace them when the position holes for the pedal masts break.
You were right JD, the drums were fine the shaft had some wear so I replaced it. Most people would not have noticed the play that I had in my drive.

You can so swap your drums to the other side if you wear out hole 5 and 6. Since you never/rarely holes use 2 and 3. That'll save you $60 right there. The newer drums have an aluminum bushing to help prevent tear out.
