There is to be a military mission out of Destin every week day for the next 3 weeks. I don't have the cordinates, but it's a very large area. Maybe someone can give the particulars. Not much area left to fish in. Sea-r-cy

More than likely it's a live fire on drones over the gulf....would you want a full size fighterfalling on you while fishing

not sure about the coordinates but sounds interesting. Out of curiosity Sea-r-cy, how do you find out when they are performing these missions. Could save a busted trip in the future.

My friend owns two head boats and a couple of other boats in Destin. He has his boats contracted out to provide secruity of the area. There will be several boats staged at perimeter points to keep boaters out.

The live fire zone is just south of the Ozark. It covers about a 30 mile square if I remember correctly.

It should be in the Eight district Notice to Mariners, though I don't see anything to do with live fire. Most of that is toward the back of the weekly's

Call the Local Destin CG....you would hope they would know if and area of the ocean is closed.....lol

Went out today, they gave us a peice of paper. It is from about 2 miles off Santa Rosa, 20ish miles out and then forms a like 20 mile square back towards Destin. I'll take a picture of the paper and put it on here. Most of the missions are from 7-11 a.m.
