menhaden in Texar??

I know the mehadden usually school up iin Texar this time of year, but I have not had much time to fish lately and do not want to waste a lot of time when i do finally get to go next week (hopefully). Have they been around Texar??

the other day when i was going to the beach (i think it was wednesday or so) i noticed the water looked like it does when menhaden are "flipping" around on top on the sabine side. maybe someone else can confirm if there is menhaden on the south west side of bob sykes bridge?
