I was wondering if anyone out there knows where I could get a detailed map of blackwater. Preferably a Google earth image with labled roads and property lines. I would just use Google maps on my phone but as we all know T-Mobile service blows! And the black & white maps the state prints out are a joke.

I know I'm asking for a lot but any help would be greatly appreciated. -- thanks, John.

I have been working on a google map version of what the style prints in the brochure, it's definitely helpful to be able to zoom into certain areas with the computer bit it doesn't do you much good in the field. You can always mark points of interest via google earth and use the coordinates on a hand held GPS. Bing maps also has a really nice "birds eye view" that you are able to zoom in with a see much more detail.

Download the Cabelas Recon Hunt app for your I phone or droid and you will always have a viewable GPs on your smart phone.

I just purchased this app for my droid ($4.99) and it's pretty sweet. This app will not show you boundary lines but it will do pretty much everything else.

It works just like a full featured GPS. You can store satellite, terrain, topo, etc.... maps in the cach. Every time you view an image it will automatically store this image on your phones memory or SD card. Once the image is stored on your phone you do not need cell phone coverage to be able to view the images. You can store trips, mark waypoints, have it mark a constant trail as you walk or drive,

There's also a blood training feature that allows you to mark the blood trail as you walk.

It also gives you the five day weather forecast for your area, Sun and moon charts, ballistics charts, and a bunch of other useful features.

I have had it downloaded since last year. Not a fan. Like I said, T-Mobile sucks and using my cell phone is pretty much not an option.
I can use it with absolutely zero cell phone coverage. Works as advertised for me.

This may not be EXACTLY what your looking for, but it does show every river, street and property lines and who owns them in the Blackwater (santa rosa )region. Its basicly the Santa Rosa county property appraiser web site ( one of them).
You can choose what you want shown (roads, creaks ect..ect ) the further you "zoom in" the more it shows. Even shows ariel photos ( part of what you choose on the left side).
Here is the link..assuming i'm allowed to put it here..I hope so
