Here is a buck a friend of mine's wife's uncle shot this afternoon in a soybean field with a doe. No weight but a rough green score puts him at around 164+ with 5" bases & 20+" wide. This was killed about a mile or so from where we hunt! Congrats to him!!!!!!

Grassflatsfisher (1/31/2010)I didn't score it. Just said it was a far stretch to be a 160". If your gonna throw a number out there at least be somewhat realistic.

then how do you know what it will or would score? and im also guessing you havent seen the deer in person so you dont truely know the mass and height on the horns either...and people wonder why nobody posts reports or kills anymore:banghead

Because I've seen, takenictures, killed, and held enough bucks to know what a 160 looks like. I'm not gonna score the deer because I can't put an exact number...but I do know I got just as big and maybe bigger on my wall and there aren't any 160's hanging on it... If you want to see a 160 8pt go see Shane at Scott's in Jay. He will show you what a 160" 8pt looks like.

Well I didn't score it. Just passing on what I was told. I also think this is a 9 with a couple of kickers. I have an idea what a 160" deer looks like. I've held a 161" 10 point and have a 152" 8 point on my wall. I haven't seen the deer in person but I think it very well could go 160"s. All depends on his main beam length and mass measurements. I am pretty confident this deer has 12" more antler than my 8. Of course I'm talking about a gross score. If you have bigger that don't go 160 then maybe you need to get them rescored. Love to see some pics too!
