lowrance 83 or 50 transducer

I am purchasing a Lowrance elite 5 and i was just wondering if an 83 or a 50 would do me better. I will mainly be staying inside rhe bay, trolling the surf and maybe be going no more than 5 miles out.

Yep the 50 is for deep water. I just got the elite 7 CHIRP to replace my elite 5.
