Looking for freshwater gear for a few kids!

I am taking 5 kids and their gaurdian/father/mother, to Dream Lake lodge June 13-15. Mr Kelly reached out to me at the end of Dillians hunt in Jan and we have been discussing this. He has graciously donated the lodge and accommodation for 5 kids. I believe I have the spots filled thanks to Season of Hope and Sportsman Givin Back and one more young man I know.

I am looking to outfit them with some tackle and maybe a rod/reel as well. Just to have them all something there and waiting. I am going to buy them all hats from Dream Lake to go with it.

I am looking for in expensive, but not the cheapest, lol. I have 2 that may have never been fishing before, a zebco may be best, the other 2 I believe are fairly experienced and maybe a spinning reel, I will confirm after speaking to Bryan.

I am not 100% certain what the bass will hit in the heat, full sun, but they were hitting swim baits, spinner baits and jerk baits last month, lol. Let me know what ya may have, will see what we can work out!

I suck at remembering to check msgs here. Feel free to txt or call, 850-777-4920

Thankyou, Jason Hays

What a great thing youre doing, Jason. I can gladly help you with at least one rod (a mini spincast), one, maybe two Zebcos 33ish, and if you think any of the kids can handle a baitcaster, I probably have one if the rod tip isn‘t broken. Can‘t promise the line is fresh, haven’t fished these rods in years. Also have loads of rubber worms and probably some crank baits, too. Am moving tomorrow, but will do an inventory check and drop you a text with what I can give and if it matches your needs before the weekend’s out.

I appreciate the offer, but aside from some entree dinner I may bring, meats or seafood, and tipping the staff, it sounds as though it should all be covered. Save it for Seasons of hope and or Sportaman Givin Back events this year!!!!

I greatly appreciate the offer. Not sure any of them are able to work a baitcaster, heck I have a hard time with em, hahaha. I can have them spooled or spool any. Im happy to compensate ya for anything just let me know Sir.

Thank y'all!
I‘m with you on the baitcaster!

Zero compensation necessary - will be in touch.

Jason I can donate a rod and reel (spinning) or 2, plus you can dig through my tackle box.
