I have heard rumors, from multiple sources, about boat ramps/beaches shutting down, and/or just restrictions on what you can do if you can get your boat in the water. Does anyone know of a government website that has up to the minute information about this type of information? FWC doesn't show anything. The county website shows the beach closure but nothing about boat ramps. Sooooo, I'm going to go with it's ok to launch the boat.

Carpenter Park is open, we launched yesterday. FWC will tell you to check with your local gov.? They don't make the rules they just enforce them.

rode the bikes east on munson rd Saturday. every sand bar you could see from the road was packed, like rats clinging to the past piece of floating debris from the sinking ship....
Yeah, us Baker folks are seeing an uptick in creek usage big time! Beaches closed and people are coming up here to the north end of the counties. I still have my secret holes that so far are just me.

Executive Order: Recreational Boating
Because COVID-19 continues to impact Florida, a new Executive Order has been enacted to reflect direction from Governor DeSantis, the DOH and the CDC. Effective immediately, all recreational boats must be at least 50 feet apart. Each recreational vessel must not have more than 10 people on board. Full details and additional proactive measures the FWC is implementing: https://bit.ly/2WGUKX8

All boat ramps up and down the Choctawhadtchee River are open but a couple of the parks are closed for camping and day use. At those locations the ramp is open.

Yep, I can tell. The boat traffic up and down the river this weekend was insane. Glad I live on the creek. I can enjoy it when need be.

I like the new improved forum, nice to not see advertisements covering text.
hopping for staright up/down images instead of cockeyed sideways images.

anyway I'm ready for a 3-4 day cruise just to get away ,separating vessels 50' apart is doable for me shoot make it 100'.
