Did you make your own transducer holder/ pole or did you buy one? I’m thinking of getting the same setup in a few months. Also where did you buy the actual Garmin components?

~JOE~
Transducer pole was this one. I bought this one because it had a twist handle instead of a handle that would have to swing around to turn. And the cable is routed inside the pole which helps protect it.

Mount for the screen is a stowaway. Folds down and extends vertically.

I bought the Garmin equipment from Russell Marine. I ordered one night and it shipped before lunch the next day.

Battery is a lonic lithium. Bought it from Lithium hub.

Millenium seats and pedestals came from Amazon.

The Live sonar sux but your Milwaukee tools are first class, lol. Seriously, wait till you start sniping the individual fish, all I got to say is its a Game changer!
Any pros and cons on your ProDucer and Stowaway? It looks like something I might want to go with on the bow.
Thanks!

I can give more feedback on them after a few trips .Don’t have enough time spent with them yet but everything seemed good today.

Very nice set up Joey. Every trip will be a learning experience. I can't explain it well to many variables . It would take to long. And sure I would screw it up trying to type it out.All I can say is everything we thought or have been taught, told or read about may not be wrong but can be greatly improved in real time watching fish (ALL Fish) where their at and how the react. My Prediction is after a few trips to be more efficient you will want do away with the fixed ram mount for the pole and get the drop in style I did one of the best improvements I have done with it. Then you will probably want another unit up front mabe a small or used unit linked to your rear unit for marking things and coming back on the T motor. If I'm not making sense it will before long. Anyway you got it and a nice setup you will make it your own and I'm sure you will crush all the fish you fish for with it.

I like the setup!
I haven't tried crappie fishing with live sonar yet but, I know with bass, if you get over them in shallower water, they usually don't bite, we just move on and try later from a distance.
Years ago, I've anchored over crappie and caught them good but they would also shutdown at random and not even bite a live minnow. We'd leave and go back and start catching them again. I confirmed this many times by dropping a camera down.

I caught a few of them. 10&11” fish. May have been different if I had minnows with me. All I fished was plastic jigs.

Darn wind is brutal again this weekend.

Have not bought a minnow after the first 3 or 4 trips with live. If they will eat minnow they will eat a jig just as good as a minnow when it's in there face. Hold still a inch or 2 above them most of the time the will they will turn up and bight. If not move along

I’ve heard that livescope shows you all the fish you don’t catch.

~JOE~
It will and at the same time show you why your not catching them it will make you better at knowing everything about where and how fish react. You see the fish are there or not . What do they do when you send them a bait? Drift it by park it on their nose twitch it pull it away. It's the best learning tool Period it shows you what your doing wrong no matter what you think or have been taught for everything from bait to gamefish. If you don't want it don't get it. But don't ever get in a boat with it especially with someone that has had it for awhile or you will have to have it! When I first got mine I was having problems with crappie running from the boat. Did not know why thought maybe it was the boat casting a shadow as I fresh water fish out of a old bay boat or something along those lines. Nope Joey and I think sc1006 is his handle. Taught me different it was the trolling motor roughed up prop from the rocks up here would send them hauling tail at 40 foot if I touched it. The whole forward live scope imagery craze is leget. There is a learning curve but it won't be what you think. Hope this don't seem like a smart ass response not trying to be but been up for to long.

Well said!!! I agree 100%.
I was impressed with the Youtube videos but when I saw it being used by someone that knew what they were doing, it blew me away.
Live is one of the best learning tools out there. A lot of myths continue to be busted.
I'm glad more people don't have it, lol.
