Best bite all year. At one point , we were throwing back yellowfin . Over 750lbs brought home. We got our guys a 6 man limit and a bigeye on top!

Y’all tore it up!! awesome trip- congrats and thanks for the post.

the big eye is just like the yellowfin but without the long sickles, correct? i guess it is hard to tell the difference between a 30 inch bigeye and a 30 inch yellowfin?

In my experience I have never caught a big eye smaller than 100lbs . Having said that, a big eye has a flat tail v ridge where the yellow fin usually has 2 small humps along the V of the tail fin and is pretty easy to decipher. The big eye just fight harder in my opinion they dig more. They are just mean.
We started at delta house and made our way east . Every rig had a bunch of fish. 3/4 rigs had nice fish at it. We lost a nice one a right at the boat at the third stop .
