I think this is the same buck i spooked while walking out of my stand a couple days ago, i never thought i would get to see him again. His willingness to find a hot date payed off for me. I heard him rubbing some trees behind me but could not see him. He finally came out and itook the shot. Used a knight extreme muzzle loader , blackhorn 209, 300gr hornady .45 xtp mag. I was truley happy to have one at the last day. Nick thanks for coming with us the other day and i hope you hunt this spot next year when im gone.

Thank you everyone for your kind words, i will be leaving for NM this year and i have to say i am going to miss this place. I started off hunting here and hearing " oh flordia dosent have big deer thats why im not hunting here" well if thats the reason your not hunting then you didnt like hunting anyway. Hunting is about getting out in the woods and having fun, plain and simple. I know thier are nice deer in flordia, you have to go out thier and get them, maybe get off the recliner. To me it dosent matter if i dont find a ten point or a 8 or 6. I love every minute of being in the woods and waiting. Just like fishing , its the wait of the bite that excites me. Some just dont get it , its not for them ..... i Love it. Me and the wife want to retire here after the military. Here we dont have to draw for tags, pay the outrageous amount to hunt. We may even see some pigs in the mix! ill take this place to hunt over anywhere up north. I am going to miss this place. Thanks again for all your kind words

I was wondering when you were gonna get around to posting. Congrats on a great season man, you did a fine job. Thanks for inviting me out last weekend, I had a great time, wish I could of hunted more than one day, but thats the way it goes. I will be doing more hunting next year for sure. It was great meeting you, rob, and tom, I will definately have to do some hunting with them next season and most definately will be keeping an eye on your spot for you well you are gone! It was very generous of you to invite me out and show me your spot(s). Hopefully we can get some fishing in before you take off and like the others have said we appreciate all you do for our country.:usaflag
