It wasn't a great day of fishing, but I had some success. All of the fish were caught on Fishbites (pink - shrimp). Caught 2 Pompano, a Black Drum, a nice Bluefish, and 2 Whiting.

Lots of Portuguese Man-o-War on the beach. And quite a surf; ground swells; light wind. Also found some Purple Snails (pelagic snails that eat Man-o-War) on the beach. Good day, and worth the trip.

Nice ! Thanks for posting, it helped to fire me up a little.
I always enjoy your posts, king. Helps us all.

BTW, on Wednesday I fished in the fog. The weather was similar to Tuesday, but the fish didn't cooperate. Someone was fishing just west of the pavilion at Langdon until almost noon. He caught several fish that I saw. Either my luck wasn't competitive with his, or he was using different bait. He left after just 2 hours, and I was told he caught 4 pomps. Definitely humbling to have someone catching when you're not! Lots to learn about this surf fishing yet!!
