Key West Center Console False Floor
Evenin peeps.
A few weeks back I posted that I was looking for some teak to build a floor over the batteries in my boat. Special shout out to Jason!!! I kinda sorta maybe feel a little guilty but I had no idea what gems these boards would turn out to be!! Sincerely Jason, Thank you!! I was able to find the other one from a local shipwright. It is Brazilian teak instead so didn't exactly match but after doing it I like it! Jason teak are the outer planks and the cross members. The Brazilian is the two center boards.
Of special note. That Jason teak is wicked hard and heavy!!! I got a pilot bit stuck and damn near broke it off trying to get it out. I actually had to spray a little WD on it!! It also required new carbide blades on the saws and gave them a workout. Now I don't wanna put anything in there..

I like what you did with the wood... 
Whoever installed the batteries did not think !
I've installed them inside but gave the customer a LOT more usable room.
And have done it with 3 batteries.... Not just 2.

Thanks X! I thought the same when I bought the boat but it has it's plusses - or at least one.. I told the girls the porta pot wouldn't fit 🤢 LOLI like what you did with the wood...
