With the incident that happened today near I-10 with a canoe and now this incident at the 3mb with the Kayak, what in the hell are people thinking. Being out in that water as cold as it is in such a small craft is just not using your head. :banghead

I dont think that going out in a kayak in the bay is the craziest thing you can do these days...come on. We could all just sit in our houses with lifejackets and hockey helmets on just in case....

Prolly the incident was actually the canoe up at I-10 and PNJ got the story wrong. Regardless, most kayakers around here do use floatation and are quite qualified to go out to the 3 mile bridge. On the same day, as the PNJ story, there was also a kayaker report for his fishing trip to the bridge. I think someone got it wrong on the kayaker rescue story.
