Anybody interested in fishing Johnson's Beach tomorrow? The surf report looks good, with winds NE at 10 knots. I'd probably launch around 8:00 from the main parking lot.

I would if i could I was out there today and fished the ICW. 2 lady fish and 1 blue. On the wayy out I drove by the gulf...and wow should have done the offshore thing. I am going to see my my new grandson tomorow.

Yeah, church was an issue No good enough reason really. It's flat, and I'm not out there enough...I'll pay for it.

I just got in town a couple hours ago... I'll try and make it out there... I'll be in a dark green Tacoma with a dark green Ocean Kayak... I'm not exactly rigged for BTB, so I might just go bay side... Then again, it depends on if I catch any bait here in the surf outside of the condo...

We had great luck! We made it out there and made it back without losing anything important... Wilbur and I hit glass water when we got there, and the swell picked up quickly...

I caught my first ever fish on a Sabiki rig, learned the water got a lot deeper a lot faster over here, and for the first time ever, I could see far enough down in the water that I could actually see the shadow of the kayak... You guys and gals don't realize how lucky you have it... This is incredible...

Personally, I only caught a couple bait fish, but it was a lot of fun for sure... And relaxing... There were 1000's of mullet on the run and lots of sand colored rays floating about... They're pretty brave as I was within 4 feet of them many a time... I need a longer anchor rope and a better anchor for this surf...

Wilbur had quite a run, but I'll let him tell you about it... I owe him big time for the tackle offering... Going to go buy you some replacements now... Planning tonight's paddle on the way...

Accidentally hit send before I was done. Yep, I hooked into a pretty big shark. It ripped off a bunch of line and then came back and jumped in the air near me. Pretty crazy? It spun around and splashed. We were guessing it was a big spinner shark.

I hooked one to that did the same thing! And actually seen one jump on my way in!

Cool. I think we were fishing too close to the sandbar. Next time, if it's calm, I'm going farther out.

Yeah, been seeing lotsa spinners lately out there. Going out early tomorrow if its flat, if not hitting Big Lagoon for OEM inshore action.
