This warm weather sure seems to have put a damper on the deer moving. All my food plots have little to no activity, whereas they were covered up 10 days ago.Pigsdaddy (1/23/2010)I hate to report that there are officially no deer left in south Alabama.

I am trying to decide right now if I want to go hunting today (saturday) or wait till sunday when it should be a little cooler.
I went on tuesday and the skeeters almost toted me off.
I just about agree with that. I hunted Blue Springs WMAthis morning and saw Nada...0...nothing. Guess I'll have to go back to having beef burgers and chili. Oh well, there's always next year.Pigsdaddy (1/23/2010)I hate to report that there are officially no deer left in south Alabama.
Yikes, seat straps broke, that's not good. Were they old? What kind of harness did you have? I know Hunter Safety Vests need to be sent in and some parts replaced after they have been used in a fall. Not sure if others are like that. Glad to hear you were wearing a harness, could have been a lot worse.Pigsdaddy (1/23/2010)Congrats to your pop and I'll look for the pics tonight. I just had to come home, clean the crap out of my pants, and borrow my wifes seat so I could head back out. I was pearched about 25 foot on the edge of a clearcut just relaxing when all of a sudden my seat straps broke causing me to drop like I was on a dunking booth. I had on my harness, but if you have never tested one of these things out, don't. My back is really tight, and I am not sure that I own a right nut anymore.
