No. There will be another peak around the 20th.
Good, thought maybe I slept through it. Seeing a lot of wondering deer but no chasing. They will rut till about the end of season sometimes even a little longer into March.
Just need another cold front.Good, thought maybe I slept through it. Seeing a lot of wondering deer but no chasing.
I normally don't shoot does but I may go on a killing spree. I still have friends and family that want meat.
So what is wrong with killing a doe that has been bred? I see no difference than killing a buck that breeds the does. There are plenty of does out there.... Sir if you have does tags shoot away. Fill that freezer! Now is not the time to shoot doe, many have already been bread already, u will be killing next years deer also.

Why is that? There is a reason why season goes to March and a reason why there are tags issued out. And honestly I bet most of the does haven't been bred yet either. Just like up North their rut is during November and some states have late doe season in December and early January.Until that post I have agreed with almost every post you have made.
Harvest them if it's legal. Nothing's wrong with killing a doe this time of year. That's one of the ways state agencies track breeding patterns in the deer is by collecting data off of harvested does particularly late in the year. If your lease has tags fill em.So what is wrong with killing a doe that has been bred? I see no difference than killing a buck that breeds the does. There are plenty of does out there....
