SO why do I feel like I just lost some freedom as well as 2nd rights. You cant talk about it in open forum but you you can allow the restriction of the freedom of speech as well as free enterprise on an open forum. Add to this a statement like " The ones that leave are more than likely the ones causing the problems" and you really put the hat on! I remember when this place was a great team and family. Now it seems I see so much you didnt do this or that, as well as smart ass fools with very little back bone that this once great forum has reduced it self to this. I thought I lived in America what the heck is the difference if I buy a weapon here, out of the thrifty nickel or from a gun show. WOW REALLY???

I think the forum is privately owned and not a publicly traded company.

That means the owner can edit as he sees fit.

"Freedom of Speech" only counts in public, NOT in a company workplace, or a privately held forum.

Really... How do you come to that deduction. I can tell you I dont like your yellow dress at work at walmart anywhere I please as long as I am not in trespass. I might also add that anything on the net is not " private" and undefendable as such unless it steps into identity fraud but thats a WHOLE different game. Do you realize as well that the parking lot in front of your business as well as the first 15- 30 feet of your property from the street are deemed Public property ?

I have NO idea about public property. Except that the Supreme Court allows the Westboro Church to provoke hate as Constitutional Right by an 8-1 decision. I disagree with Westboro, I would defend the Supreme Court decision though.

Well try this on. IN MY HUMBLE OPINION why would you as well as the rest of America not stand for these fallen young people as the crusaders of American freedom. What the Westboro Church provides is in fact nothing less then deface and disrespect of government property. If you served you know You were government property. If you fall in defence of the very rights these anarchists testify against. I dont have a dog in this hunt, but I did read in a couple of places that it was stopped because of a legal issue, and to be patient until it is resolved. I am sorry that the owners/moderators of this forum have to go through that as a result of just trying to provide a place for people to exchange ideas and stuff. I have met some great folks here too and learned a lot. Some folks need to stop going off half cocked without knowing the whole story. I certainly don't, but just that they have to deal with lawyers is enough (sorry if you are one!).

Concerned about loss of rights? look at what lawsuits have done to us!

The mods on here are not anti-gun. There had to be a very good reason for them to do what they did. It's just unfortunate. It's happening everywhere.
They used to sell guns on E-bay. Not anymore.
They used to sell guns on Craig's List. Not anymore.
It's like the anti's are running around threatening lawsuits or something.
I'm sure if there's any way possible, they will bring it back.
Until then, we will just have to use this forum for fishing and other, and the new ones to buy and sell guns.

The secrecy, speculation and misinformation is troubling. First of all you can't just start banning IP address. A lot of people share IP addresses, you might have the same IP as 100 other members. If we ban an address for a member that deserves many other could be affected. Next it's more than just getting rid of certain offenders, we are in the process of trying figure out who it is. By shutting it down temp it gives us a chance to cover all our bases before a true innocent member gets cought up in a bad deal. 99% of the people bashing on here telling us how we could/should do it has no clue. We took on a new mod to help us out to get the classified back up and running. The sad thing is we could have it back up in running in a couple weeks but with all the negative posts and PMs it's making it harder and harder for us to get motivated to do it. I have been beat down the last 2 days to a point where I getting to where I could care less if we ever opening it back up. It's hard for us to help y'all out and protect y'all and have the drive to find a solution to open the section back up with posts like these.
