Looking for any tips on who carries the small honda's; 1000w or 2000w (EU) units in the Pcola area. I sure like the 37lb EU1000 but for the money looks like going with the EU2000 is smarter choice in spite of the extra size and weight. Planned use is in the boat for extended trips and on the farm truck for tools. Any tips/thoughts appreciated. Thanks in advance. :thumbsup:

I have 2 2000 ones I'm selling. $1200 for both. I'm in S Al, between Ozark and Troy Al. Pm with phone number if interested. I'm not sure on age.

I bought mine in Ft. Walton after I found it online cheaper. I think I located it new on an Ebay site if I recall correct. The dealer in Ft. Walton said there is no way it was that price. I called the on line site from the dealer's phone and the dealer confirmed it and then matched the price.

He was a little pissed that Honda was allowing the site to sell them so low. It's been several years back and I have no idea what site it was.

Honda obviously builds a great unit but do not overlook the Powerhouse line you can by a 2000 WI for $549 that is the identical technology of a Honda, it actually supplies more KW at run than the Honda, 1900KW vs. 1600KW on the Honda, the differece is it is heavier due to a larger hp engine, that is where you get the higher run KW and this series of Powerhouse cannot be parrelled. They are sold at Carpenters see Larry or Roger they are very well versed on the product.

How does the noise compare to Honda? That's the big benefit I see of Honda. Wise has the 2000 Honda for $900 with free ship and no tax.

Take a look at their generators. They had a dometic 3KW which looks pretty light way as well for a bit more than the powerhouse, but it is 3K vs. 2K. They may crank them up for you as well, not sure. I was fairly impressed with their prices though. Dometic's name is associated with the RV industry and are pretty decent in reputation. In their display, they did have one other gen an attractive price but the sales guy confirmed it is loud. The power house for a 2KW was attractive in price as well. They also carry Yamaha at decent prices.

I had a Yamaha 2500 that was sweet. It was every bit as good as the Honda and it would run the roof A/C on my travel trailer. Very quite unit.

Basically all inverter based generators will be within a decible or two of each other, the Powerhouse is one decible louder than the Honda, our ears cannot tell the difference
