Don't let my hermit crab hear you say that...I have had him for almost three years...he is a very happy camper. Karon (Coryphena) found him in my driveway sporting a very fancy store bought shell...he still is sporting that same shell... although he does swap out for several others in his tank every now and again. He has molted a couple of times in the past three years and is one of the biggest hermit crabs I have ever seen. Spends most of his day in his "man cave"...but does come out to take a dip in one of his two pools. He's very active at night. He also knows who takes care of him...and will come to see me when I tap on his tankroofordie (1/21/2010)Also, did you know that a hermit crab will live for years in the wild, but only 6 months in captivity??
