Congress is stepping up the attacks on who is at fault and who is responsible for paying for it. Luckily after we spend several million more in tax dollars to determine who is really at fault, we will have spent another week to month of not actually doing anything about the mess while La is getting hammered with it and the rest of the coast can only live in fear of it.

I think there needs to be accountability, but after it is cleaned up!!

Will politicians work to soak up the oil? They take up valuable oxygen without giving back any benefit, at least if they sucked up oil, the water would be cleaner, or more contaminated...back to the whole best of the worst scenarios...

Maybe we can stuff the politicians and BP execs into the thing to clog it up instead of "frac balls".

What the hell is a frac ball? Must be something they are getting from England....

Material - including frac balls and golf balls - will be "shot" into the BOP at pressure in a bid to seal its internal mechanisms.

Just found out what Frac Balls are:

Frac Balls:

Function: To act as fluid diverters so that active ingredients such as acids or proppants are diverted from a high flow area of perforations to a low flow area so that the low flow area gets the treatment. Used with coil tubing and in other downhole squeeze applications.

I'm loving this thread and posts. Politicians soaking up oil is a freaking awesome idea

Plugging the riser with politicians is even better

As for the oil executives...stuff happens...ok...butnot having plan for what happened... the blowhout occured 20 days ago and they don't have the leak stopped and not sure even today when they will get it stopped...

Correction, plug the riser with the exec's too

Won't never (I know it is a double negative... but so what...) work...
1). Politicians are far to greasy to stick in place!
2). Politicians get greased enuff already so the crude will slip right by!
3). Politicians do not have the integrity of a golf ball so they will shirk the responsibility asked of them as they always do!

Was a nice thought though!

Actually I was thinking they are doing the best thing. This thing is going to be tied up in legal channels for years, may as well get the ball rolling. And honestly, do you really want politicians injecting their input as to what needs to be done? These people mostly wear slip on shoes because the laces are confusing. The last thing we need them doing is trying to play chief of the cleanup crew for political showmanship. Let them fight with the execs and stay out of the way of progress.
