This is very old information, but I used to do well on the Bridge Rubble. The trick was to be there at first light before all the dive boats arrived. Once the divers hit the water, I could still find a few on some of the scattered structure 100-150 yards away from the main rubble.
Focus less on the spot and more on the bait, don't he afraid to go to large and let it really soak. We usually go 6' leader at least 10 cranks or so off the bottom. Sometimes they want something butterflied over something live. If you're catching AJs left and right youre too high in the water column IMO
We had luck at the tanks just south of the pier 3 weeks ago, 2 grouper, 4 legal snapper, and a king
I would like to target black snappers. How far out do you guys go that have success consistently chumming up black snappers? Not looking for spots, just general areas to start my search. Thanks for any help!
Hey everyone, I need some advice. I live in the Midwest but get to make it down here a few times a year. In June my buddy and I had great luck snapper fishing and got our limits of gags fishing about 150-170’ foot of water. We have tried several times before and after the full moon this month...
Got my 13 yo son his first chicken dolphin, Mingo, white snapper and scamp grouper today. Water was pretty good, not quite flat like it forecast, but still not bad. So much fun watching my son reel up from 350’ deep.
