I haven’t seen much info about the June grass this year. I am thinking of hitting the surf this weekend. Has there been any grass in the surf? I don’t want to waste my time. Thanks .

Same here no grass at all. With shrimp and mullet in the very calm surf over the last three days ... catfish and two small sharks today. Tried FP and around Portfino.

Might have something to do with lower salinity along the beaches of the north central gulf coast this summer with the huge release of fresh water through the Bonnet Carre Spillway and the persistent southwesterly winds pushing that water eastward to the FL Panhandle.

That might also have something to do with lack of cigar minnows in numbers for the netters to catch bait too?
And jellyfish numbers have been way down this year. A sure sign of lower gulf salinity.
