Our club has about as many oaks as any other type tree. A big crop of acorns means no deer in plots or at feeders and with over 5000 acres of oaks it's hard to nail down any patterns... A few is ok but when they're everywhere the deer just don't move around muchWhy would you hope not to see any?
+1 Yellow river swamps has a good looking crop so far but I think all the rain and standing water may sour them quick this year...yep swamp is full of them.. Looks like another good year for the swamp..
I dont think so - deer are just glorified goats and they like to graze and dont like to spend too much time in one place. If there arent too many in the woods and you can find one group of trees with acorns falling your good, but if theyre everywhere it doesnt really matter if you pile up acorns or corn theyre gonna stick to finding them one at a time. What we need is:Would it be worth it to try and bag up some acorns for the season?
