Fished alpha pier this morning and got one nice bull red, a big stingray, and a buncha small sharks. The big grouper bite was really good but today they were just too big to turn even with my heaviest tackle. The highlight of the day though was a 40lb cobia I hooked on the bottom using pigfish, fought him all the way up to the pier but he shook the hook as we were trying to net him. (nobody had a gaff). I was pretty bummed for the rest of the day but hey Ill get him next time. maybe

Theres monster grouper around Allegheny and Alpha pier that'll make you shudder. I know theres a few guys on this forum that have dived it in the past and can attest to this
