Do you go on private land or a club?Is it turkey season yet? CAN'T WAIT:yes::whistling:
Do you go on private land or a club?
We hunt both. Definitely don't hunt turkeys in the fall. I disagree with the fall season. Don't see the accomplishment in shooting one with a rifle. Spring season only :thumbsup:Do you go on private land or a club?
Yea I was going to bow hunt for them, just thought it would be nice to have a fresh one for thanksgiving. We hunt both. Definitely don't hunt turkeys in the fall. I disagree with the fall season. Don't see the accomplishment in shooting one with a rifle. Spring season only
Now I can probably help u out on this... Sorry for the derail Wackem.Never understood fall turkey hunting. Can't hunt them from a tree stand in AL (not that we have a lot of counties with a fall season) so can't shoot them while bow hunting deer from a stand. I have seen plenty this fall bow hunting deer, must have had a good hatch this year. Going to be a great spring!
PS Would love to swap a 2 day spring turkey hunt next spring for a Bluewater fishing trip next summer
U must not bow hunt? :001_huh:Honestly, it's not much of a challenge to kill anything out of a treestand.
If I'm out deer hunting and get a shot at a turkey I'm taking it. I look at a fall turkey as a bonus to deer hunting and just some more good eats for the table.
Of course, provided I didn't do what I did this year and not purchase my turkey permit.
Everybody has their own opinions. It's no challenge to kill a turkey out of a treestand.
my point exactly!!! We would be more than happy to assist with ur turkey problem :yes:Same here, a turkey is should be hunted in spring, not all/winter.
They turn into different critters in spring.
