I've never really paid much attention to what I used... just whatever game loads were on the shelf as I walked by... but this year I'm thinking I might get something High Brass and High Fallootin for giggles and grins.

I use Winchester AA Super Sporting Clay loads 12ga 7 1/2, they have a $ 2 a box rebate if you buy 10 boxes, which makes them about $ 5/box. Also, I aways carry 1 box of Remington Express Long Range 7 1/2 if the birds fly tall. I use a Light Mod choke and I am hunting in GA. The cheap shells do not seem to work as well for me.

I used to use AA in Alabama with an ol' winchester 37 when I was younger... I didn't know anything about hunting/guns back then... I thought I was "learnin the ropes" because I figured out where on the box to look to see if it was 20 gauge or 12... I started out with a box of remington sts recoil reduction, but decided that because it was a winchester gun, I should probably be using winchester ammo... (I really was that clueless back then) and the only thing at the gun shop in town was the AA... They out performed the Remington STS hands down... further reaching and harder hitting (on both ends)... I remember I thought I'd found the "secret weapon."

I shoot winchester AA too. Probably the overall most favored load among dove hunters imo. I also winchester super x occasionally. BTW when is season here in Fl?
