I have a 2452 ciera classic. I just paid a guy $300 to buff the hull and it still looks bad. The boat is a 2000 model but the hull just has a dingy color to it. Also the gel coat seems thin there are several stress fractures and chips all the way through the gel coat. Does anyone know what it would cost to have a new gel coat applied. Where would I get this done.

Its a shame that who ever buffed you hull didn't say something about the gel coat not cleaning up and shinning,, he should have if he was a professional. As far as what to do now, from you have said about the only option is to have the cracks-chips repaired and have the boat sprayer with a quality grade paint, Awlgrip, Imron, Etc. Having new gel coat reapplied is possible but is more expensive and very hard to find someone who has the set up to do it. Hope this helps. Matt
