I had a jack plate installed by Bob's Machine shop in Tampa yesterday. When I picked it up they also installed a water pressure gauge and said they started the engine to check the gauge was working. The workers said they smelt and saw gas leaking behind the manifold near a metal line. This would be looking at the engine from behind the boat on the back right side. Anyone have this issue previously or any ideas? IT is a 03 Yamaha F225.

If it's carburated the rubber fuel lines runs in that area. Not much of an answer. They can't look at it and tell you more??

Thanks guys. I pulled the cowling when I got home and took off the top cover to look and started the engine. I do not see any gas or smell the gas. Only exhaust. Now my concern is the water pressure gauge does not show a reading with the ear muffs on. It is peeing and I know it is getting water. Just hope they installed it correctly.
