Planning to take a friend's son fishing on Saturday. Has anyone been fishing the shoreline to the east of the bridge? Had good luck a few months ago, but have not been out lately. Just want to put this kid on some fish. Any other suggestions welcome.

There use to be grass beds a year or so back on the n/e side....you might pick something up there..

Go early! If you can be on the water before 1st light even better. If you have a trolling motor (hopefully), keep moving and casting. If you catch or see a fish stop there and look for a few more! Good luck!

No, I have a boat and a trolling motor. Just trying to decide if I want to fish Garcon or closer to the Escambia river mouth.
