Actually, i bought it from a guy who sold it to me way too cheap so i figured i would post it here just incase it was stolen from someone who is a member. If you think it might be your rod and reel, please give me a call to describe it. I will gladly return it to the rightful owner. If you did not lose a rod like this, please dont try to get a free rod and describe whatever you can think of. This rod and reel have specific things that only the owner would know of!!!!

Thanks everyone! Just trying to do whats right.

West coast style rods have no reel seat. Some people use SS hose clamps to secure reel to rod and electric tape over the clamps, others just use the clamp that comes with the reels. Its so you can adjust the position of the reel for the type of fishing you are doing at the momment. Good concept, but i never really cared for it, when you put a lot of drag on a fish they tend to turn the reel slightly sideways.
