taking a family trip down there to Sanibel Island. Hoping to chase some snook around the island. Does anyone know of a fishing forum for the area or a guide that can catch them from the beach?

I spent a week on Pine Island at the end of Jan, 2019, and boated around Sanibel / Captivia for 6 days.
I did not fish, but watched many doing so.
I did not see anyone fishing from the Beach into the GOM. The water is very shallow for about 100 yards off the beach, like 4 feet.
Most fishing I saw was in the various passes into the GOM. And just inside the passes. The waters there were very deep.
