Those who have been around a few decades will probably remember Bud Bell very fondly. Mr Bell ran the cove for years and I’ve known he and his family since the late 70’s/early 80’s. Mighty fine man we lost. RIP Mr. Bud.

I was just asking about him last week. I remember Shur Ketch getting a phone call from him to tell him his boat was setting on the bottom! Remember him raising hell to anyone throwing a wake entering the Cove. He was a good guy, RIP bud!

I worked for Bud ( and with Rob, Annette and Tom) for 2 summers while going to college in the 80s. He was a very kind person. He was a genius with anything that had a motor. Every time I pass by Sherman Cove, I always think of the them.
