Yesterday during a trek out to white island i sat on the back of my yak... when i got up i could hear a hissing sound(air going back in) When i got back to my house i saw a line where the kayakls plastic had been flexed. Should i ignore... if not how do I fix this?

If there's an air leak in your hull that equals a future water leak. That's a major problem. If you just got your kayak I'd return it for a new one.

It may not be a big problem - mostyaks arenot completely airtight and when you sit on it air is forced out through hatches, fitting holes, drain plugs, etc. When you get up, it air flows back in and the plastic shouldreform after a periodof time. You might check to make sure there aren't any leaks below or near the waterline...
