Kim, Im going to step out on a limb and say that you are an elitist snob. You keep harping about conservation and you seem to suck up to and believe everything the gubmint tells you. You seem to look down your nose at people who have smaller boats and really, you have little clue about what is really going on. You are just a serial sh!t stirrer and have armed yourself with a bunch of "facts and figures" that come straight from NMFS. How the hell does NMFS "know" that we over-fished by 1000000 lbs. They will go to boat ramps on air show days and make estimates of how many fish were harvested by the number and size of the trailors. They counted the days that boats were gone from their slips no matter if they were gone to the shipyard or on a casino trip to Biloxi.(all of the days that our boats were out of the slips and on shipyards due to hurricane damage were counted against us in04 &05) I trust them about as far as I can throw them.... You must believe everything they say. Oh... and that eliteist snob call-out is not that you have access to a big boat, it comes from the statments Ive read that you have written regarding access.. You seem to believe that if someone doesnt OWN a boat that they should not be able to participate in the snapper/reeffish fishery... We see you for what you are. The fishermen in LA see you for what you are. You own it!:moonEnough Said!

Wow amazing how much interest a post about fishing this weekend can generate. What's even more amazing is how far afield the posts to the thread are. Well on Wednesday when I made the post Saturday (today) was predicted at 2 - 4 feet and Sunday at 1 - 3 feet both within safe limits. Sea states turned out to be more than predicted and staying safe means staying home which is what we all did today and will do tomorrow.

For those that need to know information the Hatteras belong to a friend of mine as well as a customer. I own a maintenance and repair business for boats and it is limited to a small number of clients. I am also a mechanic and don't mind getting my hands dirty, I take pride in my work. My boat is a 36 foot Silverton Sedan bridge for those that need that information.

I'm not snobbish at all, I am obviously controversial as far as some of you are concerned, that's your right to believe and it's your problem not mine. I'm not sorry at all that I don't meet your standards or criteria to be here, again that's not my problem. If you have to hate or what ever it is that you do, again, that's not my problem. If it bothers you that i am a member of this forum, talk to Chris and ask him revoke my membership from this forum. If he decides to do that, I won't consider it any kind of censorship but moderating the forum that he owns to keep the general populace happy.

All that aside, since I didn't make it out fishing and I don't have a reserve in the freezer I had to resort to Publix for dinner tonight some pork to BBQ on the grill.

No matter what yourthoughts on me are, I wish you the best for the up coming Holidays for you and your families.

Honestly, I think you just like attention, good or bad. Maybe you should keep your limit sometime, you will have more meat in the freezer.

Kim. I have no problem with you taking only what you can eat for a given day (more for me to catch and I need all the help I can get). As far as your posts, they are entertaining and certainly no more aggressive than some of the other members. Don't let them get you down Have as a Happy Holiday

ed

I support fishing and hunting within the legal limits.......Plus separation of commercial (including charter) and rec fishing/
