I am going out not by the pier. However, I personally frown upon people following me around, LoL. I will be bottom fishing some too tomorrow and dont particularly like to share numbers that Ive spent countless hours and untold miles peddling trying to find.

SPeaking of spots Jd I went over what looked like structure of some sort today I wasnt able to mark right over it but within 10 feet or so. Ill send you the numbers so you can scope it out . It may be a place you already know about, but since I dont have anything in my gps theres no way for me to know . Maybe you can compare it it to some of the spots you have and see if you already marked it..?

just a question why do u yak guys always launch at 1 of the 5 piers not critisizing anyone but as a former pier fisherman u have to understand in any vessel u have the whole gulf and your abilities to go where u wish these pier guys are stuck doesnt matter if blackfins are blowing up all over 500 yards away they have to just watch them as a boat yack or any other vessel u can go after those fish so they like their space what they have of it i understand mechanical failure fish pulling u into the pier and all but would this never happen if u launch a few miles east or west of a pier and like i said im not blaming anyone personaly i look into getting a yack in the next year but to me seems simple dont get within a mile of a pier those issues never happen

Good point^ I agree with a lot of what you said but... with myself i had failure and even though i had a paddle as a back up they didn't understand a outback or PA are hard as hell to paddle in water, choppy or not. I fish there becuase it has lots kayakers are out there because when I flipped mine pulling in a tuna they helped me out. I haven't personally experience a kayak fisherman fishing the pier so getting mad or up set or even talking out your butt because a kayak gets close or is getting close Is dumb. But staying way in very much so in your favor as a kakayer. I use the pier site because gas station is close lots of people are around the help me if never in trouble. Lots of other kayaker go there parking is good and so on, there maybe be better place but I'm not going a mile way from the pier because the rule is like 300ft I think don't quote me. But I recommend a kayak! I would rather pay for fishing equipment that makes my fishing output increase then sit on a pier and be bitter lol but there are nice people on the pier.

Lol why are you looking in a yak thread when you don't have one yet!?!?! Lol just pokin the bear. Don't get mad.
