That appears to be the fish. He was fairly heavily built and seemed to be a nice fish. About 14 inches or so long and seemed as if it would have made a nice chunky sandwich. Next time I'll give em a boat ride. Momma always told me to be wary of strangers and it was strange to me.
I would like to target black snappers. How far out do you guys go that have success consistently chumming up black snappers? Not looking for spots, just general areas to start my search. Thanks for any help!
Hey everyone, I need some advice. I live in the Midwest but get to make it down here a few times a year. In June my buddy and I had great luck snapper fishing and got our limits of gags fishing about 150-170’ foot of water. We have tried several times before and after the full moon this month...
Got my 13 yo son his first chicken dolphin, Mingo, white snapper and scamp grouper today. Water was pretty good, not quite flat like it forecast, but still not bad. So much fun watching my son reel up from 350’ deep.
