Found this on the shore alive but barely, threw him back in deeper water but doubt he will survive. Was very colorful, reminded me of a fish Ive seen in an aquarium

looks like a bull minow (Mud Minow or Cocahoe), if that's what it is i bet it lived, those things are tough.

Ive caught bull minnows before, he didnt look like a bull minnow, snout wasnt pointy enough. At first I thought baby grouper, he had very grouperish shaped fins

I think its a fish called a Fat Sleeper. I've had them in the aquarium up at the shop before. I believe they are in the Goby family. They can get up to around 10 inches or so from what I've seen.

I got mud minnows in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" /><st1:place><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Verdana; COLOR: #1f5080; FONT-SIZE: 10pt">Apalachicola</st1:place> and they had a pointed nose so i know what your saying, the tail on that makes me think bull minnow. Color is a litte dark but that could be the colder temps.
