Putting a 6oz cloth patch on the outside like Big Mike says won't hurt. May be overkill since you already used glass and fillers inside the hole and patched the inner full. What you are looking for at this point is something you can fare and then apply a light layer of gel coat for a smooth finish.
If you still have a deep dish area to fill, then you need to continue with resin and 407 filler, especially if you still have some leftover. If out, get some formula 27 epoxy filler and apply it with a plastic spreader. Sand it smooth and wipe it with acetone. You can mix some gel coat with some filler paste and then use a razor blade to spread on the reapir area and the about 1 inch outside the aea. Do a couple of light coats with light sanding in between. Wet sand (320/600/1000) the final coat and adjacent hull surface and then compound and wax.
